Jan Kooijman Sr. is a writer, editor and owner of Celtac (1999). After working in education for 25 years he founded his own enterprise. It was not the most obvious decision to start his own business, but it happened nevertheless. His work as a writer incrementally grew from writing texts for educational purposes to writing texts for magazines.

1) What was your initial question? What did you urgently need?

H&P helped me with setting up Celtac in 1999 and additionally helped me with setting up my own Annuity limited liability company (BV). Recently I needed advice regarding dissolving both companies and the consequences of tax related issues. I additionally wanted to know whether it would be beneficial to start paying out my pension earlier than planned.

2) How did Hermans & Partners organize this?

H&P has helped me both with my administration and fiscal issues throughout the years. The help I currently receive for both companies is very expeditious.

3) What was the result and what did you notice, some pros and cons?

What the final result will be, is still unknown. But the first calculations give me a positive feeling. I currently receive money from my own pension fund on a monthly basis (it very nice to get ‘free’ money without all the struggles of generating revenue).

4) What would you recommend fellow entrepreneurs?

I would recommend other entrepreneurs to gather information and ask someone for advice well on time. As far as I know, everything is possible at H&P.
